Identity // The Hop House Micro-Brewery

We were asked to design a holistic corporate identity for a chosen company and apply it to a number of publicity items which included a logo or marque (including corporate colour palette) and a stationary range including letterhead, compliments slip, envelope, buisness card, invoice and order form. We also had to develop a company brochure with 12 sample pages along with one other negotiable item.
My brand identity was for a micro-brewery and wine bar called ‘The Hop House’ which is located in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The venue is dedicated to, and promotes the music of 80’s and 90’s bands from Manchester, such as The Smiths, The Stone Roses, The Buzzcocks, Oasis etc.
The geometrical design used on the main stationary range is a stylised version of a central Manchester street map. It is spread across the letterhead, business card, compliments slip and envelope - when they are placed together the fit together perfectly.
The white, blue and red/burnt orange colour scheme relates to the very British nature of Manchester music.
The identity also includes a packaging range for the bottled beer selection, interior design such as posters and beer mats that correspond to the current names of the beers - they feature the song lyrics that the beers are names after, and a website.
A promotional CD - The Sound of the Hop House is also included in the brochure.
