Yup that's right, Prince Poo has now joined the ranks as the third illustration in my Nintendo series!  For those of you who are not so familiar with this angry little guy, Poo is one of the four main characters in the cult classic "EarthBound", a game that I still have a strangely profound love for to this day. I mean, how could anyone not like this game? You fight enemies like new age retro hippies, UFO's, attack slugs, and even abstract art! I'll even go as far as to shamelessly admit that I listened to the "EarthBound" soundtrack the whole time I worked on this thing, fully reveling in my own nerdom.

 

Since my main focus was the Prince, I had to illustrate his home world of Dalaam, a Shangri-La style island nestled in the clouds. Of course the temple sits at the top, and I made sure to include the straw roofed shacks, gift boxes, UFO's, ominous black bunny statues, and even the time/space traveling contraption they called the "Phase Distorter". Soooo much fun to work on! I think I'm going to have to revisit this game very soon to illustrate the other 3 characters, but until then the next one up is ... Mega Man!
