First Floor: Bar and office

ABOUT:

This project involved working in a team amongst third year Architecture students, Building Science students, Landscape students and Interior Architecture students. Together in the team, we were given an exisiting site (empty lot in Kaiwharawhara, Wellington) and we were to create and design to fill the site. Analysing the site, figuring final costs and values of what the site was to be, it was concluded to the question whether it would be feasable or not.

MY PROJECT:

As an interior student, my role was to finalise costing and report to the project manager in the team. In order for me to research what was neccessary and valid to a cafe and bar (one of the choices for the heritage building) it was easier to design within the specific dimensions required. This enabled me to calculate within the measured building and to understand how the space would be occupied to NZS3604 code.
