I’m delighted to share with you this recent paintiing “Spectacular seas off Sugarloaf” I painted this recently, and it is the 25th in a continuing series exploring the spirit of adventure in all of us. Distant shores, great voyages, friendships rekindled and quiet moments of joy on reflection of the wonders of our world.
It had been four days since Mia’s strange encounter receiving the mysterious envelope.
She had read it then put it in a drawer and had immersed herself in the daily routine of making good progress down the South American coast.
On the fourth evening through the late afternoon haze she saw the familiar profile of Sugarloaf mountain loom in the distance. She remembered happy times and the excitement of the carnival.
For one night she would enjoy the twinkling lights of the iconic city and rest.
The message had been a simple one with coordinates which would take some time to reach. She hoped in thirteen days she would again receive more information.
Only time would tell…
