MODE AVEDA REBRAND

MODE Salon has two locations in Gainesville, one of which partners with the AVEDA product line exclusively. When they decided to move into a larger space and expand that location, the partnership with AVEDA also grew. Under the new contract, the AVEDA name had to be at least as large as the MODE name on the building and throughout the locations branded materials.

What we cam up with was a simple emblem that merged the M from MODE and the A of AVEDA together. We matched the MODE font to something similar to the AVEDA font to bring the two words together.

As for the rest of the rebrand, we moved away from generic imagery and colors they had been using. Instead we incorporated more natural tones, and more candid/realistic photography. AVEDA is 100% plant based, so we felt that we needed to keep the branding earthy and approachable. To help elevate the brand, we kept the text clean and minimal with enough white space around everything so all the elements had room to breath.

The end result is a refined brand that feels sophisticated without feeling artificial or out-of-reach.
