GAINESVILLE SPORTS COMMISSION

Gainesville Sport Commission came to us looking for a rebrand. They felt their old brand was too old school, clerical, and not enticing people to bring their sports events to Gainesville.

We knew we wanted to loosely connect the brand to the University of Florida, because the Gators Sports teams draw in a lot of attention and sports tourism. But we had to keep in mind this was a separate entity form the college, and we had to do something unique for the Sports Commission.

The result was an orange and blue color palette, and the use of scales in the logo to represent the endearing name of 'the swamp' for Gainesville. We also continued using the scale motif throughout the branding as a fun visual element that was unique to this sports commission.

Once the branding was complete, we worked with the sports commission to develop new marketing materials and programs to help increase brand awareness, and enhance the sports tourism industry of Gainesville.
