Design problem
The current website, left users frustrated, abandoning or calling to place bookings, which increased pressure on the staff.
Scope
The brief was to design an E-commerce website that will be used to aid the booking process for current and potential guests. Which would help improve profitability for the business and alleviate some duties and responsibilities from the team.

The website will include an appealing and user friendly interface, use of the latest technologies as a result of having the ability to book and make payments in real time, and browsing capability which will allow customers to browse through stays and travel information from any device. Some other features which will set our website apart will be a advanced back end system, with a once booked feature which will help guests find critical information easily. Which will educate our customers for their visit.
Goals
-Platform that maximised ROI for the business while creating a streamlined user journey.
Design rationale
The rational for my designs was based around the brand guidelines to keep brand consistent across all platforms, but also to create a simple yet effective user interface which promotes ease of use and limits user errors. This was achieved by designing a website that struck the sweet spot by integrating a smooth user experience, maximising the amount of white space and using fewer colours combined to create an elegant and classy feel, combined with exquisite visuals and ease of navigation in order to promote a luxury brand. I also opted for a simple and easy to read font that helps reinforce the luxury feel of the brand, and enabled me to achieve the brief.
