To have a different sort of cover for the book cover, I looked deep into the background of the story and picked up every sort of element along the way. After researching and drawing ideas, from the family, to the era the book is based in, I decided to go down the route of a mystery themed cover with the main character Michael. The glow coming from the television represents Michael beeing a loner in a dark room obsessing over the movie 'What a Carve Up!'.  The dark colour also comes in by showing us it is a dark novel. I also based clues on the table for the readers, along with a frustrated Michael looking into the family's history, another main part of the storyline.
