The Tasty Side of Sound.

 

For this project, we were asked to design a radio for a given brand. My brand was Smeg, the italian manufacturer for kitchen appliances, and most known for their 1950's retro fridges.

Inspired by the shape of a milkshake, recalling the lines, aesthetics and lifestyle of the 1950's, this is the perfect object for whoever desires a personal, unique design in their home. Not only the radio connects to all FM, AM, and DAB stations, but it has a control for which the user can choose directly the musical genre he or she would like to listen to.

Small and compact in size (only 15cm in height), the portable radio has two small loudspeakers which can produce up to 96dbs of sound, to make you enjoy music even when cooking in a busy and noisy kitchen.
