Papillote Brand Development Case Study

Tasty little packages.

Challenge
Quaint French Restaurant needed a brand that felt authentically French and would allow them to both cater to restaurant customers as well as cater events. It’s an eatery that incorporates the best elements of French cooking with hints of American sentimentalities.

Solution
The store’s personality gives it an advantage over chain restaurants, and we expressed it throughout all aspects of the company’s brand, communication platform and retail envrionment, mixing rough burnt textures with elegant French scripts. Developed a visual language that embraced the client’s French heritage and embodied its elegant but casual personality. Details like the monogram ‘P’ were utilized on chairs shaped like wine corks, to the duotoned burnt parchment paper effect of the corporate identity and branded communications that reference the unique “En Papillote” cooking technique utilized by the chef. Created versatile labels to be utilized on packaged fresh French cuisine and specialty French cuisine items.

Result
Papillote’s Brand has given them valuable exposure and unique and memorable visibility attracting both locals and tourists. It has also allowed them to branch out into catering events, weddings and parties.
