Shuck It! is the new monthly podcast brought to you by Eat It & Like it, for people who love Southern food. It is hosted by Jesse Blanco, Savannah and Hilton Head Island's voice of food. This podcast will introduce you to the people and places across the South that make up the melting pot of cuisine in the region. With celebrity chef profiles, chef interviews, field reports, cooking, our team of journalists explore the ever-changing culinary scene in the South covering what we eat, what we drink, and the surprising ways food is life in the South.


Brand Strategy 
Direct brand strategy and brand development for new Shuck it! podcast from Eat it & Like it. We are looking for the podcast to have a harder issue-driven edge, covering things like labor shortage in the South, Price of Crops and produce, and too many hotels in Savannah? The “Shuck It!” podcast will follow the Franchise naming strategy for immediate brand recognition with the main brand. Early on we established a naming strategy for Eat It brands that is short, simple, and follows the structure Eat It, Bake It, Drink It, etc. I developed the name Shuck it! which references both shucking oysters and shucking corn. The podcast utilizes a different name to communicates more of an edge and broader culture focus in editorial coverage from the Eat It & Like It show brand. ​​​​​​​

Brand Identity
The podcast brand identity will utilize the chalkboard inspiration, which lies at the heart of the Eat It brand with handwritten fonts to give it an edgier feel. The Eat It brand is an endorser brand for the podcast allowing it to be more flexible in editorial coverage. The typography for Eat It & Like It is the same Helvetica font as the main logo but utilizes a hand drawn version to blend with the podcast look and feel.
