Seth Troxler - Aggression

Digital album cover for Seth Troxler's single Aggression, released on Moodgadget in November, 2009.  The original requirements on Seth's end were simply that the cover convey a dark, urban, tense aesthetic, perhaps simply a gloomy photograph capturing urban decay-- steel, concrete garbage.  While this final result isn't an urban landscape, I believe it conveys a tense, dark, and (now) sexy look and feel.  You might be surprised to know that the subject with the gun to his head is not Seth Troxler, although he told me himself that he liked the cover for looking a lot like it was his head.  The photo was taken in 2007, it's my friend Marcia and my roommate Billy.  The pistol is a Glock 17, it is not real, and no one was harmed during the photographing.
The single recieved a 4-out-of-5 review on Resident Advisor, much to the applause of Troxler fans and the Moodgadget crew alike.
An older concept I created in late 2007 using the original photo, it still lives over at my old DeviantArt profile.  Part of a 3-piece series entitled "Contexts" exploring emotions associated with various photos I had taken in late 2006/early 2007.
The original photograph, barely post-processed at all.  The title of the photograph is shown above, and came to me as soon as I saw the photo, "Marcia asked us to take her for a ride.  Who were we to refuse?"
