My name is Wilson Masaka Magambo (alias : Wilsenx, Captainy, Coach, Oruma, Champion, Willy and Maja), I'm a Web developer/ designer, IT Trainer and Football coach from Nairobi, Kenya.

I have worked with NGO's and youth groups in the areas of web design, Skill development, Community development, Peer education and Youth empowerment programs for more than a decade. I would love to open a community centre called Wilsen Initiative (Wi) which will seek to Inspire, Connect and Educate (ICE) youth in skills and knowledge that will address the gaps in the society especially amongst the youth in informal settlements.

Talents and skills utilization will be our greatest tool at Wilsen Initiative (Wi) whereby encouraging young people to believe in themselves and be agents of change with the philosophy of change that starts from within. Read Less

2000- 2002 NairoBits Trust (Diploma in ICT) Attained diploma in web design and development at Nairobits: NairoBits is a youth organization that teaches young Africans from the slums areas or disadvantage backgrounds of Nairobi both technical and creative skills in web design and development. Television Interviews

In 2001 I was featured in the BBC documentary, ‘Well Connected’, about the work of NairoBits and the global impact of the internet. I was interviewed for the program by the presenter, Mariella Frostrup, and assisted the production crew with their filming objectives during their stay in Nairobi.

2005: Participated in the African Youth Foundation (AYF) essay competition in ICT and education in Africa.
In September 2005 attended a workshop organized by YIKE (Youth Initiative Kenya) on youth leadership and attained a certificate for participation.
2004 Award winner 1st Prize: Poster competition 2004 for young people which was organized by the Safer Cities program of UN-HABITAT to mark the World Urban Forum and sensitize young people on urban insecurity.
