Grace was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in the corn belt of the Midwest. She eventually escaped to New York City where she graduated from The Cooper Union earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design and calligraphy. Grace's career in publishing began at Seventeen magazine and led her to design a multitude of publications including Organic Style, More, and ESPN the magazine. Grace first worked with Robert at O at Home, a spin off of O, The Oprah Magazine, that he helped launch. Soon after, Robert recruited her to be Art Director of Condé Nast Portfolio because of her thoughtful design sensibility, despite her affinity for bad '80s music. The publication won several awards under their direction. From there, they decided to start Priest+Grace and subsequently Eight by Eight. Her work has been honored for design, photography and illustration by The Society of Publication Designers, The American Society of Magazine Editors, The Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, The Type Directors Club, Print Magazine, and Art Directors Club. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and her dog. Read Less

Robert was born and raised in Middlesex, England (hence, his British sense of humor). After graduating Twickenham College of Art, he had a brief career in London before becoming Art Director of Weekend Magazine in Toronto. From there he was invited to be the Art Director of Esquire, an offer he couldn't refuse. During his early years in New York Robert co-founded American Illustration and has watched it grow into an institution. His work at Esquire lead to several other high-profile positions at Newsweek, US Magazine, GQ, House & Garden, and a second tour at Esquire. He eventually started his own design firm, Priest Media, which included clients suchs as InStyle, Avon, More and O at Home among many others. When Condé Nast decided to launch a new business magazine, Robert was chosen to be Design Director, another offer he couldn't refuse. He recruited Grace to be the Art Director, after working with her at O at Home. Condé Nast Portfolio proved to be a wonderful opportunity for Robert and Grace to closely work together on a new brand and examine their compatibility and they eventually formed Priest+Grace. Even though he has worked on publications with a vast array of subject matters, the one category that had eluded Robert was sports and being a massive fan of soccer, he realized a lifelong ambition with the birth of Eight by Eight. As Editor in Chief, he finally understands the difficulties editors face on a daily basis. His work has been honored for design, photography and illustration by The Society of Publication Designers, The American Society of Magazine Editors, The Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, The Type Directors Club, Print Magazine, Art Directors Club, American Institute for Graphic Arts, and D&AD. Robert lives in Tribeca with his wife, two sons, and his dog. Read Less
