In 2008, Claudio De Leo founded Pleroo, an interior design studio based in Gioia del Colle, in the Apulia region in South Italy. In this fascinating land he looks for craftsmanship, in particular forgotten crafts, and designs interior furnishings with the most varied materials: from wood to ceramics, from local stone to iron. In 2015, with the architect Anna Stella Tinelli, he created a new concept that deals with interior design, planning and design of public and private spaces, restructuring of tourist places such as traditional Apulian trulli (ancient stone huts) and masserie (fortified farm houses), shops and commercial activities, as well as consultancy for choosing materials and interior fittings.
Pleroo is dazzled by the beauty, it always looks at the world with new eyes and moves every step driven by the desire for change.
It is inspired by contradictions, by those elements that do not match each other, creating unusual unions and telling new stories. Its mission is to create new opportunities and give new life to furniture; it enjoys looking for forgotten treasures and historic furnishings of great aesthetic value, giving them a contemporary soul. For Pleroo, being an interior designer means giving personality to places and inspire well-being to the people who inhabit them.
It means creating harmony between spaces and people, between old and new, between the possible and impossible. Read Less
