Hello. I am a strategic graphic designer with over 7 years experience working on a variety of consumer, corporate and public sector brands with a particular experience in food and drink.
I have always had an enthusiastic approach to design and refuse to allow myself to think “that’ll do” when concluding a project. My recent experience is focused on brand identity and packaging, where I can comfortably take designs from initial sketch through to finished artwork and regularly work on single products and large ranges alike. Further design experience includes corporate identities and guidelines, new product development, including name and concept generation and literature design.
Fundemental to my current role is the ability to liaise directly with key clients on large strategic projects and also smaller tactical opportunities, both of which I approach with the same passion and organisation. I find that a collaborative approach with clients works well and often produces inspiring and effective results.
I manage the majority of my projects and, when required, adopt the role of creative director. Working with junior designers and graduates is particularly enjoyable and I have recently been participating in a ‘Design Buddy’ mentoring scheme with Bath Spa University.
In my spare time, food, wine and music are my passions and although I have played in several bands, these days my musical endeavours revolve around watching and collecting music.
I love spending time away in the hills and particularly enjoy exploring Sutherland, Wester Ross and Skye.
I also take great pleasure in following the highs (and many lows) of both the Scottish football and rugby teams. Read Less
