I’m a Melbourne based freelance copywriter who has grown up in the advertising world since birth.

Some have called me an advertising blue blood, but for me it's just the way things have always been. You talk campaigns at the dinner table and discuss ROI over a good red.

According to my family, things in this wacky industry have really changed. I agree, but not necessarily in a bad way.

You can’t get away with lying to people anymore. You can’t manipulate them into buying your products and you certainly can’t scare them.

What you can do is entertain them, enthrall them and connect with them.

I don’t create ideas for target audiences, I create them for real people. Sometimes this is an ad, other times a concert, a new product, or even a word. As long as you feel something when you see it, I’ve done my job.

And speaking of my job, I’ve been doing it for over 15 years now. I’ve worked for some of Melbourne’s finest agencies and have been recognised at award shows such as Cannes, London International Awards, Clios, New York Festival, Spikes, and closer to home at MADC, Award and Sirens.

I feel extremely fortunate that I can be creative and make a career out of it. To me it’s a privilege to love what you do and I’m one of the lucky ones.
