I can provide coaching in both visual and communication styles to researchers who want to "up their game" as presenters, whether for scientific conferences or public speeches. I suggest working with an upcoming presentation in mind, but am also available for more general coaching over a few sessions.

An image is a thousand words. Extensive and detailed descriptions of species, biological structures, molecules, natural features or tools can be arduous to read and understand. My observation skills and attention to detail allow me to illustrate more clearly and completely than photography can.

Figures represent your precious data, but data can sometimes feel sterile. Combining meaningful illustrations can liven up your data, facilitate understanding and even save on word numbers. In particular, review papers, new concepts or methods, key insights and take-home messages can greatly benefit from quality illustration. ex. sampling sites, maps, data contexts, methods, protocols, tools, theoretical concepts, etc.

Visual abstracts are gaining popularity as they can communicate complex and abstract ideas coherently. An effective visual abstract is a powerful tool to make your paper more memorable and, thus, increase the chances of being cited.
