Hello, my name is Marilyn Vicente, my primary media is acrylic paint and paint brushes are my main tool of choice to create intricate, abstract designs. Many of my pen drawings along with my paintings have been featured throughout the Dallas metroplex in places such as White Space Gallery, Janette Kennedy Gallery, Art Is Life Studio, 500x and Kettle Art Gallery. I also have been a featured artist for KERA's Art and Seek.

In February I was part of a vinyl toy group exhibition "Vinyl Fantasy V: Aliens & Alienation" organized and hosted by Metropolis Comics and Toys in Vancouver, Canada. I have shown with Vinyl Thoughts Nation at their event "Vinyl Thoughts Art Show 5" and at Bottleneck Art Gallery "Unmasked" in Brooklyn, New York also hosted by Vinyl Thoughts Nation. Last year, I also was part of "Show Me The Munny 4" at Strangeway's Dallas hosted by Atama & Company.

I was also selected last year, to be part of the One Meter At a Time: A Temporary Public Art Project, a partnership between The Office Of Cultural Affairs and The Dallas Police Department. Myself and 7 other artists were selected to paint the parking meters each located in Oak Cliff, Deep Ellum and Downtown. My meters are located in Deep Ellum on Main street, Henry street and Commerce street. The meters are on temporary public display.

I have donated some of my works to raise money for charitable causes and fundraisers like Twitter Art Exhibit benefiting Home-Start Moss in Moss, Norway, Art Conspiracy's Art Con X and Art Con 8, Kettle Art Gallery's "For the Love of Kettle, The Human Rights Campaign and No Tie Dinner & Desserts in Dallas. I have done free community art workshops/events for children. Some of these opportunities have occurred via ArtLoveMagic.
