Hello, my name is Marilyn Vicente, I use a variety of different mediums like acrylic paint, charcoal, spray paint and micron pens. I create intricate, abstract designs. Most of my artwork has been featured throughout the Dallas metroplex in places such as Janette Kennedy Gallery, 500x Gallery, The Basement Gallery, Art is life studio, Latino Culture Center and Kettle Art Gallery. I also have been a featured artist for KERA's Art and Seek.

In February 2014 I was part of an international vinyl toy group exhibition "Vinyl Fantasy V: Aliens & Alienation" at Metropolis Comics and Toys in Vancouver, Canada. Locally I have shown at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center "Idol Hands" organized and hosted by Art Hunger, Show Me The Munny 4" at Strangeway's Dallas created by Atama & Company and "Vinyl Thoughts Art Show 5" Vinyl Thoughts Nation in Dallas, Texas. I have also shown at Bottleneck Art Gallery in Brooklyn, New York "Unmasked" created by Vinyl Thoughts Nation.

In October 2014 I was selected for the One Meter At a Time: A Temporary Public Art Project, a partnership between The Office Of Cultural Affairs and The Dallas Police Department. Myself and 7 other artists were selected to paint the parking meters each located in Oak Cliff, Deep Ellum and Downtown. My meters are located in Deep Ellum on Main street, Henry street and Commerce street. The meters are on temporary public display.

I have donated some of my works to raise money for charitable causes and fundraisers like Twitter Art Exhibit benefiting Home-Start Moss in Moss, Norway, Art Conspiracy's Art Con 11, Art Con X and Art Con 8, Kettle Art Gallery's "For the Love of Kettle, The Human Rights Campaign and No Tie Dinner & Desserts in Dallas. I have done free community art workshops/events for children which these opportunities have occurred via ArtLoveMagic.

Color Beneath the Sun, Breaking Barriers and Between the Echo are currently permanent fixtures in the halls of North Lake College among other prolific local and student art.
