As a self-taught artist and graphic designer, I find myself constantly looking for new ways to bridge the gap between the physical and the digital. After six years of tinkering in Illustrator and one year of fumbling on an iPad, I've managed to develop methods that allow me to create digital illustrations with a handmade touch. Much of the time, it's because I've used my hands to physically carve a block of linoleum or sketch an idea out on paper, then transferred that drawing or print - that element of the tangible - on to my computer screen to be developed further. It is a process that is highly experimental and forever evolving, and the practice serves to stoke the creative embers that keep me excited about making art. Read Less
