My journey in the arts began at a very young age. I have been interested in creating things all of my life. I was a hands on kid, getting into everything from charcoal drawings, to watercolor painting, acrylic painting, sculpting with clay, and drawing cartoons. In college, I continued with my fine arts education with the intent to transition into the more digital oriented profession of graphic design. I translated my art skills from paper to the computer and began my career as a print designer; doing everything from book covers, to brochures, logos, and print ads. From there, I moved into the realm of interactive design; helping to create websites, iPad apps, and HTML emails. As an interactive designer, I also started to dabble in motion graphics, learning After Effects and animation. And that dabbling in animation has now turned into a concentration and a passion. I now consider myself a motion designer. Not something that I foresaw when I was younger, but here I am! I still have a hand in print and interactive projects every now and again; but animation, character animation, and motion graphics is where it's at now! Read Less
