My real name is Sarah J. Coleman and I arrived, with an unintentional pseudonym, at a very full-time job in illustration and typography via additional hours served in the bizarre and magical worlds of pirate radio, lecturing, youth work, Shakespearean theatre and typesetting obituaries, squeezed in between illustrations.

Creating words and pictures for an international client base, I've held 12 solo and 25 group exhibitions across the UK and US, and now have my own gallery called Factoryroad.

I also have a record label called Blunt Force Trauma, a radio station called Altar Ego and a business manufacturing British-made 45rpm record adapters. And we're known for our solid chocolate Easter Eggs as well.

I like ink and have a vulgarly large collection of black fineliners as well as hundreds of nibs. I should use more colour. I love cleaning, washing up and admin. I love buying records and ought to buy more - always more. And I'm up over the 300 book covers mark, with more on the job sheet - I’d say it’s quite a good job I like doing them! Read Less
