Branding for a local DJ

These are part of a branding brief for a local DJ, music producer and event-organiser, playing experimental music and not sticking to a certain genre; a DJ who encourages thinking differently. These are all qualities that I tried to incorporate in the experimental typographic logo.

The colour inside the logo is actually a highly pixelated close up photograph that I took of a rope-light, created interesting but subtle colour differences in certain parts.


A special consideration to take into account when designing the business cards was the fact that they are likely to be exchanged and given out in a nightclub environment, not known for their quality light sources. So a design utilising high-contrast colours, with a very dark background and very bright content.

Unfortunately due to circumstances outside of my control, the project has stalled and is yet to go live!
