The design of the table which Value Retail commissioned me for the gala dinners held on Convivio 2012, was born from a collaboration with the artist Corrado Bonomi. The table was supposed to represent the spirit of the Value Retail group, that handles eleven luxury outlets in Europe and China, and that every year produces an huge amount of communication materials (such as villages maps, totems, brochures, plastic cards, invitations to events, etc.).
Corrado Bonomi and I, decided to utilize all the communication materials printed in recent years.
With this focus in mind, we started asking all of the old printed materials at the various outlet villages of the group throughout the world, and after 2 months of deliveries by couriers, we collected about thirty boxes full of printed paper destined to the dump.

From this point started the work of Bonomi, who patiently (under my supervision) began to give new life to various 'coloured prints', turning them into tablecloth, candlesticks and placeholder. Moreover the construction was completed by the famous installation of the artist, titled 'Castles in the Air.
Convivio is the leading charity market exhibition, with the purpose of raising funds to ANLAIDS, National Association for the fight against AIDS. But it is much more than a charity event, Convivio is a long way of solidarity that began in 1992 from an idea by Gianni Versace, along with Gianfranco Ferre, Giorgio Armani and Valentino, that lasted until the present day.
