OPPORTUNITY
These DVD covers allowed us to create a fictional DVD series of documentaries that highlighted artist from different movements throughout the history of graphic design. By taking the different styles of the artists and implementing their ideas into a collective design, the period for which they represent is also represented through the four different covers.
SOLUTION
The artists of post-modernism were all creating work that made breakthrough innovations to the graphic design world. Showing the artists' work breaking through from the background of each cover represents the breakthroughs that each of them have made to the graphic design field. These artist also represent different personality traits and elements that are extremely common in post modernism design. Each of the DVDs is named after one of these traits or elements which fully describes the style and design of these innovative artists.
