    |   "The term "Południce" refers to the souls of women who died just before, during, or right
    |   after their wedding. They presented people encountered in the fields with riddles, on the
    |   answers to which the fate of the person depended. They killed or mutilated their victims,
    |   strangled farmers sleeping in the fields and kidnapped children who played at the side
    |   of the field."
