One of the challenges of designing covers for the Nevica skiwear catalogs was that the new lines were still in production and current photos were unavailable. As a result, the design solutions included innovative use of inks, papers, and printing processes, as shown here. The catalog at left featured a mezzotint photo printed with silver and black ink on a blue linen stock. The catalog at right was printed with a pearl varnish on gloss stock.
