Key-ring — a magnetic key concept

The concept is an intercom key familiar to everyone, but performed in the form of a finger-worn ring. It makes process of door opening convenient, fit a propper ring on your finger to an appropriate lock and it is opened - no need to search for keys in the bag. The idea arose because the author not only possess 3 identical keys from 3 different doors but they're all the same and are inconvenient to use.

The material of the ring, as well as the colour though, can be any.

While modelling and visualizing this concept we tried to use a bunch of «Blender» and «YafaRay». We also have tried out two technologies for a rapid prototyping, that are new for us: stereolithography (SL) and selective laser sintering (SLS).
Publication on Artemy Lebedev Studio’s site

There are always lots of interesting things for us on Artemy Lebedev Studio’s site, but presently our team is mostly excited by the teaser of a very familiar for us object that is called «Tabletcus». The story of changes in our concept began when the participants of «RechEtnoExp expedition», including Artemy Lebedev, held a little traditional convention last year at the end of July in Samara for all who was interested. During exactly that convention our «Key-ring» was mentioned with interest. In order to bring this idea to life it was included in the Studio’s working process. After half a year of our anticipations and work of Studio’s team the ring has undergone some changes, but the general idea remained the same. We hope that our project will quickly and easily enter the life of those, who might find it useful and comfortable.
