Expo Nova is Norway's leading retailer in contemporary furniture, showcasing products from designers such as Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, the Bouroullec brothers and Cappellini. Whilst Expo Nova's product offer remained strong the presentation of the store was under utilised.

Expo Nova’s brand was being over shadowed by the quality of its product offer; Mission’s challenge was to use the retail identity to reposition the brand as a forum for contemporary furniture. As part of the over-haul Expo Nova consolidated its various outlets into a 500 m2, three-story store flagship store, providing the opportunity to implement a total retail concept.

“I'm delighted with the end result and so are our customers judging by the increased traffic in the store. Both customers and sales staff have a totally different experience,” says Andreas Madshus, Managing Director Expo Nova. Sales have increased by 26% the first year after the launch.

Expo Nova was nominated for the prestigious Prize of Honour in the Norwegian Design Council’s Design Excellence awards. The identity also won Silver at Visuelt 2005.
