Foundation is a light inspired by the brutalist architecture of Montréal, it’s construction methods, and how the character of materials shifts overtime.
The two plaster masses start as a single scored block. Breaking this block allows for each light to be unique.
When the light is on, it casts downwards onto the bottom mass of plaster and reflects off the imperfect surfaces to disperse the light.

Made from a lightweight plaster and 5 identical powder-coated tubes, Foundation is a dramatic sculptural piece and brings a unique ambiance to a room.
