Very fast internet connection
In Finland, the city of Rauma has such a fast internet connection that it takes you in milliseconds around the world. For example, the distance from Rauma to London is 1,699 km, to Paris 1,821 km and to Giza, Egypt 3,538 km.
From brief to finished image
Brief was to get a high speed internet connection as a visible image. Shortening the distance was at the heart of it all. I set out to look for pictures of the world’s most famous landmarks. I combined the landmarks with the pictures of the city of Rauma, which had already been photographed. The hardest part was adding a person to the picture naturally. I did not succeed in this completely. I emphasized the atmosphere in a dramatic direction which forgives small and big visual flaws. The work was fun from start to finish.
