We worked with the company Marathon Targets to develop this innovative robot for automated parcel delivery. The robot utilises autonomous navigation technology developed by Marathon for use in military and law enforcement applications. This technology allows the robot to avoid obstacles (such as pedestrians and trees) and to easily navigate footpaths and crossings.
Packages are stored in a secure locker inside the robot that can only be opened using a code sent to the customer's smart phone.

The delivery droid first prototype was successfully trialled by Australia Post for after-hours parcel delivery. During a four-week trial the robot drove more than 200km and delivered over 100 packages — mostly after dark.
