The centerpiece of thecampaign is the Website, which invites potential visitors to “Curate your own experience” from, among other attractions, museums, exhibitions, tours and artworks.

From the founding of the nation's first art museum in 1805, the Pennsylvania Academy of Arts, to the opening of the new, relocated Barnes Foundation in 2012, Philadelphia can stand its ground with the world's great art destinations.

Still, few visitors to the city are aware of the depth and breadth of the Philadelphia's collections or of its vibrant art scene. Few know that Philadelphia boasts more public art than any city in the world, more works by Renoir and Cezanne than all of France.

The WithArt campaign seeks to announce and promote the city's artistic influence and stature, as well as provide a useful set of tools to explore the city's artistic treasures. Accordingly, the WithArt website serves as a centerpiece of this campaign; providing a compelling marketing message as well as integrated social-enabled utilities.

Working in close collaboration with the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) Bluecadet worked to strategize and design a comprehensive and visually rich portal to Philadelphia's art scene. Starting with an exhaustive discovery process, we identified the user personas, use-cases and content dependencies for the site.

The resulting site is both visually rich and highly useable. Visitors to the site can curate their own experience, tag artwork, and peruse exhibitions, events, museums and attractions. They can view slideshows and download printable and sharable itineraries.

Further, Bluecadet designed and developed, a custom interactive 3D map of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the "most artistic mile in the country." Here visitors can click through to eight different stops along the parkway, learn more about attraction along the way and assemble their own custom, curated experience.
The site has been incredibly well received, garnering attention in the New York Times. Moreover, it has been doing its job, providing a visually rich online presence to a major artistic destination.
