    This is a developing project inspired by Heath Robinson, Tim Hunkin, Rube Goldberg, steampunk and old patents to name a few! I love the idea of invention; especially the whacky, weird and wonderful. There's something special for me about how a Utopian Victorian society might tackle technology of the day; not with the microchip or even electricity, but physically manufactured machines and ingenuity that would rival our current day geniuses. Victorian design often had an elegance and bravado about it. This might be just a pump house, seen by only a few and dealing with London's least appealing aspect of civilisation, but it will be a thing of beauty in itself nonetheless, over-engineered and charmingly ornate.
