Animating Mahmoud Darwish's Words

Project Description: "Using stop-motion, animate a quote in a semantic manner using cut-out letters and dramatic lighting."
Based on the prompt, I chose Mahmoud Darwish's famous saying, "Maybe the moon is beautiful only because it is far." I wanted to create an animation whose raw nature came to exist via analogue methods. Since we're in strict quarantine measures, I had to use materials available in my household. I only used digital techniques when attempting to manipulate color and some video transitions. Merging between the digital and analogue helped create a much more full-filling animated billboard.
