Everyone knows how Italians like their coffee, a quick, rather bitter espresso. To prolong the enjoyment of this otherwise short ritual, Laura and Serena Santarelli started a new coffee brand, Better Beans. Better Beans is an Ethiopian single-origin Arabica coffee. Made by local farmers, in fair trade conditions, then transported and roasted directly in Italy, a fresh and flavorful taste is guaranteed in every bag.

Other than great coffee, Better Beans also crafts each and every packaging from 100% recyclable plastic. Not only that, they also strive for making the Earth a better and more compassionate place, so they donate 10% from each sale for Growing trees organization.

The Mission:

The objective was to present Better Beans as a superior brand on the Italian market. The owners visualized themself as a modern brand that would be appealing both to older and younger generations.

The Output:

Besides a new logo, which a combination of coffee bean + letter B, we wanted to put the emphasis on the packaging itself. We've used a fresh organic tones, combined with the Ethiopian natural's environment. Each coffee packaging has it's own different color scheme, while the label design remains the same. In the end, we crafted a website which is easy to navigate and use, boosting their sales since day one.

The Impact:

Better Beans is now one of the famous Italian coffee brands. They're known for their philosophy that coffee is meant to be enjoyed, not only sipped. Since they started, Better Beans have expanded all over Italy, and the neighboring countries. Within a few months, Coffee Beans have stood side by side with bigger and more famous coffee brands. Comparing to competitors, their website sale is 4x more successful.
