פטר והזאב

כשהייתי קטנה הורי נהגו להשמיע לי בכל לילה את הקלאסיקה של סרגיי פרוקופייב - ‘פטר והזאב’. כוונתם התמימה הייתה שלנוכח הצלילים ארדם בשלווה. המוזיקה הספק מתקתקה ספק צורמת, יחד עם הסיפור האפל היו גורמים לי לחלומות מסוייטים הרבה יותר מתחושת נחת לפני השינה. למעשה עד היום המוזיקה גורמת לי לתחושת צמרמורת בכל פעם שאני שומעת אותה
בפרוייקט בחרתי להציג את התחושות שעלו לי מהסיפור ומהלחן ולחלץ את אופיו האפל והמעוות שמסתתר מתחת לחזות סיפור הילדים התמים. עיצבתי את הדמויות המככבות בסיפור על ידי יצירת הכלאה של יצורים תמימים אשר יחד הופכים לדימוי מטריד. באותה הדרך, יצרתי הכלאה נוספת של שתי דמויות יחד, הזאב והברווז, וכך בחרתי לייצג את הסצינה בה הזאב בולע את הברווז בעודו חי

Peter and the Wolf

When i was a little girl, my parents gave me a walkman tape with story's for before bed time. One of those story's was "Peter and the Wolf".
And i was supposed to try to fall a sleep with that kind of creepy story.
I had so many nightmares as a child, that until today, when i here the musical story, i make's me shiver.
In my final project, i went back to those feelings, by listening over and over to the story and music.
It made me create the seven characters in the story in an disturbing, unpleasant, and distorted way, like i think it is to make children listen to those kind of story's.
In the same way i created the characters, I made a hybridization of the Wolf and the pour Duck in the story, as my interpretation to the scene in wich the wolf swallowed the duck a live and the end of the story isn'ct a good end for the living duck inside the wolf's stomach.
