This work is informally dedicated to all our first responders.

My first print of our 2020 series on Quilted American Landmarks. I sketched out this design back on March 12 just as we were shutting down to shelter at home. I had no idea then how much the world would be changed in the next eight weeks. Seems appropriate that this design is the first in the series to be released this year.
The color palette was built off of the compliments of navy blue and a subdued golden orange with cool and warm neutral grays used as a matrix of relatively neutral hues. The intended effect is of late afternoon over the harbor with cool shadows from horizontal clouds interrupting golden beams of late afternoon sunlight.
