人們長期以來習慣攝取的乳製品，其實對環境造成很大的負擔，畜牧飼養業對動物也十分不人道。

本展覽主要探討的是乳製品議題，經由大量資訊處理，用抽象與具象並行的藝術手法，傳達酪產品對環境所產生的衝擊。

Human have a long history of consuming dairy. However, it is causing huge impact on our environment and to the animals themselves.

This exhibition aims to spread the word about the current milk industry situation with an artistic touch. We are not criticizing but informing the audience, that it is up to the listening to make a choice of their own actions about consuming dairy from now on.

背景

Background

從小到大，在媒體廣告的渲染下

我們一直認為牛奶是十分營養且不可或缺的

「想要長高嗎？那就喝牛奶吧！」

這樣的觀念一直深植於大多數人的心中

但...

As we are old enough to be aware of the advertisements out there,

we’re bombarded with messages about how dairy is an essential part of a healthy diet.

“Want to grow up and have strong bones? Better drink your milk! ”

"Oh we're out of milk, better get some form the grocery store!"

However...

你真的知道牛奶背後所隱藏的秘密嗎？

不論東西方，主流飲食文化已經提倡補充足充分蛋白質才能健康的觀念已根深蒂固，"動物蛋白"的存在被視為不可或缺，牛肉更是被給人們捧上天。然而日益漸增的的調查顯示，肉類製品對環境及動物人道的問題日漸嚴重，連動素食主義及植物性蛋白來源重新被重視，形成人們不再吃肉的趨勢，但奶類製品似乎常被人們排除在外。

所以我們想傳達的是，在一個素食主義崛起的時代下，我們或許也要注意乳製品的過程中其實也是消耗大量環境成本的因子，而我們能做的就是知情及了解，並做出個人的決定，到底要不要喝那杯拿鐵?

Main stream diets are heavy in animal protein consumption. However, more and more evidence show that this is ruining the planet, resulting in a rise of vegetarianism and veganism, but what is the difference between vegetarian and vegan?

It is important to know that dairy is one of the key elements in this discourse, because as cow are raised and milked, they cause effects to the environment even if they are not eaten. In conclusion, what we need is to be aware of these factors and make a personal choice. Do you really need that extra cup of latte?

藉由讓觀者從懸掛裝置自行擠出信息球的動作，象徵我們作為消費者，從牛隻身上取得牛奶的過程

信息球（牛奶）

The messages spheres (Milk)

球殼中填滿回收碎紙屑，白紙象徵白色的牛乳，碎屑象徵被人為剝削的牛隻殘骸

透明球殼讓觀者可以直接看到球裡的信息，了解乳製品背後存在的環境成本與問題

As these spheres are filled with dead-white-milk paper shreds as well as a single note, they are symboling the exploitation of cows and the message behind dairy industries.

每顆信息球內皆會放置一張字條，呈現一項資訊

裝置內放有二十種不同的內容，合計共80顆信息球，讓觀者每次操作都能得到新的結果
