POPLAR PARK

Poplar park tells the story of the original landscapes of the Halifax Peninsula, with native plants, woodland and grasslands with pollinator species. It creates a gateway to the new Cogswell community and Old North End neighborhood.

The park transforms unused  industrial  land into a natural playground, community garden and orchard with a food forest of native edible species. Information panels convey the history and heritage of the community.
