A quick poster illustration I made in tribute of today's coverage of the Ahmaud Arbery case. Arbery, 25, was out jogging in the coastal city of Brunswick early in the afternoon of 23 February. He was then pursued by local man Gregory McMichael and his son, in a racially motivated attack. The pair armed themselves with a pistol and a shotgun and pursued Mr Arbery in a pick-up truck. Video footage of the incident shows Travis McMichael later firing a shotgun at point blank range at Arbery, killing him in the street.
McMichael later told police he saw Arbery, and believed he "resembled the suspect" in a series of local break-ins, though no burglaries were reported in the area, in the month before the shooting.
