Waves is an AI-powered website for creatives to generate and purchase unique image assets for their work. Over 657 billion photos are uploaded online every year, Waves is designed to reference these images as a dataset to create new ones. Images created with AI and machine learning algorithms are unique, infinite and tell untold stories. The visual fidelity of generated images is continually improving and soon may be indistinguishable between a real photo. Waves is intends to be both a platform for discovering images and a database of unique images curated for creating beautiful graphics, textures and photographs. The process to create the images on Waves is a specific machine learning framework called GAN (Generative Adversarial Network). To train an image model with this framework requires supplying a large dataset of images. The dataset is then analyzed for patterns that are compared against one another to find visual trends. The larger the dataset and the more steps the images are processes improves the output visual fidelity.
The designed pricing model allows users to experiment with generated images as a free download before committing to a purchase. This is crucial because artists and designers need to see how a graphic would look in their design before they intend to buy the high res version.
