With her hometown friends Hongju and Songhwa, she leaves for Hawaii with a swollen dream.
Hong-ju and Song-hwa are fooled by the photos and get married to their old and ugly husband.
But Budeul is relieved to meet Tae-wan, who is just like the person in the picture.
However, Tae-wan does not open his heart to Budeul due to his lingering affection for his first love, "Dali"
And her exotic life, such as sugar cane farm work, is tough.
When her son Jung-ho came out, Budeul thought a stable life would wait for her.
However, Taewan leaves his family behind and engages in independence activities for the freedom of Joseon.
Meanwhile, with the help of immigrant women around her, Budeul travels around Hawaii's Kahuku, Honolulu, and Wahia to take care of her family alone.
