The goal of this project was to design a more camera-like experience with the Game Boy Camera. I decided that the Game Boy Advance, arguably the best form factor for the Game Boy, would suit my purpose best. 

 

I felt this was best accomplished by lowering the cart slot so the Game Boy Camera sat more flush with the housing. I began by cutting away the shell so the Camera would fit inside.

 

Next, the cart slot was de-soldered from the motherboard and re-wired to drop in the old battery cavity. 

 

Due to the battery cavity now gone, I had to find a place to set the batteries. Thankfully, placing it on to one side allowed it to function as a camera grip. 

 

Here, you can see the different - the red cart shows the change where the atomic purple reflects where the cart sat prior to the mod.
