Manitoba Robot Games Identity

In 2007, the Science Council of Manitoba hired me to redesign their brand identity.

The Manitoba Robot Games is a yearly competition designed to introduce and entice students to the field of robotics. Contestants build robots to solve a variety of problems from whatever scraps of material they can find/afford. It was this ingenuity which inspired the idea for the logo to resemble components of a machine, assembled and bolted together from a variety of "metal" parts. The logo most often appears in a shade of grey, which allows it to boldly stand out, and consistently convey the feel of unfinished metal.
