A Look at Paste is a feature created for the pages of Crafty Carper fishing magazine. This piece cover the topic of using specific paste-like baits in the efforts of catching carp.
The opening shot displays a paste-like substance attached to the end of a hook and line. It was believed that this image would best amplify the content of the feature. I then considered an addition that would help introduce the reader to the piece.
The custom text and gun-like graphic you see were all created in Illustrator and then imported into the Indesign file to give the piece more impact and a defining characteristic.
The main content of the piece consist of an array of storyline and tips. It even includes a step-by-step sequence encouraging the reader to attempt this type of fishing for themselves.
