Reid Hackney is a retired financial executive in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout his career, he has worked with various financial companies, including A’Gaci, LLC and Ascena Retail Group. An alumnus of Penn State, Reid Hackney is a member of the San Antonio Founder Lions Club, one of the most prominent charitable organizations in Texas and the United States.

San Antonio Founder Lions Club was founded in 1915 and is the world’s oldest lions club today. The club has many charitable projects, including the Sightfirst Program. The program fights the main causes of blindness and provides support to the visually-impaired. It does so through training, equipment donations, providing eye surgery for the underprivileged, and medication distribution.

The Sightfirst Program was established in 1990 and has since raised northward of $356 million allocated towards more than 1,330 projects. The program has been active in more than 100 countries around the world. 9.3 cataract surgeries were conducted under the program since its inception.

The Sightfirst Program prioritizes underserved populations, delivers quality eye care, and helps make sustainable eye care centers and systems.
