Opening theme for a fictive mystery-thriller series.
Hoping to end his writer's block, roman author Freeman decides to rent a room in the smallish seaside town Innsmouth. Here, Freeman meets Shirley, a young and attractive woman.
Thus far he thought the residents sulky and dismissive behavior was due to the local mentality. However, when Shirley mysteriously disappears, the author realizes that Innsmouth harbours a dark secret.
This project was a collaborative work with Patrizia Onkels and Sina Markhoff.
Logo animation
The logo animation was created with the 3ds Max plug-in phoenix fd. A vector file of the logo served as the emitting source for the smoke simulation. Time reversing the rendered animation allowed to achieve the desired look of the logo gradually being formed out of smoke.
