Reuben Smith // Graduate 2020

My goal is to create cartoons through animation. But I don’t feel right limiting myself to a cartoonist or animator because I feel that there is no boundary my creativity cannot cross. I am influenced by everything that intrigues me and makes me pause to watch and observe. From games, cartoons, films, short animations, beautiful art in a gallery, ceramics that are handcrafted, architecture of old and new, and people.

Going to Gray’s has opened my eyes to seizing every opportunity that is presented to me and to trust my gut. Even if I don't succeed initially or go down a path that others wouldn't, I have learned from my experiences and it makes me eager to try something new. I am creative and I will keep on learning, keep on creating there is no limit to what I can achieve.
