Mad Men has influenced me in many ways, from my hobbies and interests like film photography and vintage car restoration to the artwork I create. I’ve always been particularly inspired by the promotional artwork created for new seasons by artists such as Milton Glaser and Brian Sanders, and although I was unfortunately a little too late to create artwork myself for Mad Men while it was running, I decided to try my hand at my own anyway.

There are so many wonderfully-framed shots all throughout the show, but I felt like this one just begged to be illustrated like a fashion ad of the time period—the scene referenced features Don, Joan, and Roger awaiting the Clio Award winner to be announced in the episode, ‘Waldorf Stories’.
